ONCS '26
The ONCS was held in Enschede this year! The last time Alembic organized the ONCS was back in 2019, and that year we also took home the overall victory. With seven years having passed, expectations were high and the motivation to win was stronger than ever.
The weekend featured a wide variety of sports, a special activity, and of course the legendary beer relay. Staying true to the theme Molecule Chef, the committee designed a special activity involving flour, eggs, beer crates, water, and just about everything else needed for some everyday cooking. Despite having some prior experience with these ingredients, we unfortunately fell short of a podium finish in this event. Alembic delivered solid performances across the board, with standout victories in Bar Games, Dodgeball, and Kubb. These results kept us firmly on the podium as the competition progressed.
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for, the beer relay. Alembic 1 had been training hard throughout the past year and was ready to take on the other associations in this glorious race. As spectators gathered around, our team grabbed their glasses and emptied them in the blink of an eye. Their performance was so impressive that the crowd could barely keep up. Setting an outstanding time, Alembic 1 outpaced all competitors and claimed victory in the beer relay!
When all the points were counted, Alembic stood proudly at the top of the rankings, securing gold at ONCS ’26. The trophy is staying in Enschede! We are incredibly proud of everyone who contributed to this achievement and are already looking forward to the next ONCS in Eindhoven, where we will have the opportunity to defend our title.
