Developing Dense Polyelectrolyte Multilayer Membranes for organic micropollutant removal
Fabrication of reinforced saloplastic ion exchange membrane
Organic micropollutants (OMPs) in water, such as pharmaceuticals and pesticides, pose challenges for water treatment due to their small size and harmful effects. This project focuses on developing dense Polyelectrolyte Multilayer (PEM) membranes with improved selectivity and durability for removing OMPs from surface water. By testing novel polyelectrolyte pairs, these advanced nanofiltration membranes aim to enhance water purification efficiency.
