Characterization of physicochemical changes in membranefs in the valorization of food waste
Membranes have been proven as an effective way of reducing energy consumption in water purification and ingredients recovery. Collaborating with Greencovery and the University of Twente's Membrane Process Technology group, this project aims to explore how membranes can lower energy use in upcycling food side streams, a key step in sustainable food systems. The project focuses on assessing the performance of different nanofiltration membranes, with the goal of making the solvent and ingredients recovery more efficient and eco-friendly. Ideal for both BSc and MSc students, it offers a hands-on opportunity to develop technical and soft skills in a cutting-edge research environment.
